Three Point Lighting !

This assignment was so interactive and creative. We were tasked to use the Three-point Lighting method. This method would consist of three different special types of lights. The fill light, backlight, and key light. Each light is imperative and it plays an important role when it comes to photography, especially studio photography. I had my classmate Essence model as the subject. She sat on the stool and placed him on the studio.

This photo is a wide shot photo with no lights turned on. All 3 lights are off, the only light entering the room is the natural light from the outside windows. It causes a slight blurryness in the photo and looses up the sharpness.

This photo is in between a full wide shot and a close up. It has no additional lighting except the natural lighting shing from the window. This is why you see that on the right side her face shines lighter and the left is darkened. The window is on the right side.

This is a close up shot and profile view. The key and back lights were turned on during this picture. This is also a mid range shot. As you can see the right side of the picture which is slightly covered is dark.

This is a close up shot with the key light and fill light turned on. It clearly covers her entire face giving her a shadow in the background. It's close enough to see how the light shines in a glowing manner.

Here's another wide shot photo the subject/model Essence. In this frame the backlight was turned on, key light, and the fill light as well. You can see a different angle of her and how the light reflects on her.

The final photo is another in between shot of the subject. All 3 lights were turned on in this frame, it gives a deception of a focus feature. There is a shadow in the back as well.
