Working With Reflector Disk

For this assignment, we were tasked with using a reflector disk to see the difference in the lighting based on the outside natural light and how it affected everything when using and not using the reflector disk. We had a chance to bring our Reporter, Sharlene Luke to be the main subject. We wanted to test the difference in the lighting using the reflector disk and also without it to see the changes.

Here is an image of a wide shot of the reporter, reflector disk, and videographer showing how everyone is positioned. You can clearly see the entire layout of the camera, reflector, and much more.

This is a shot from behind the camera showing how the camera is positioned for the reporter. It gives an effect that looks like portrait mode photography focusing the lense on the camera and Sharlene being the background. You can see the full aesthetics of the layout.

This view and angle it is behind the reflector, this angle is showing how the sun is reflecting off of the disk onto Sharlene and her skin. In this picture, you can see how the disk is positioned to get the right amount of light on the reporter's face. It's difficult to see but, Sylvester Brown is holding the reflector disk.

This is a perfect close shot of the reflector disk, shining off of our reporter. If you can tell, there is more of a highlight and glare on the reporter's face!

Here's another wide-shot view of another group who shot at the same time.

Here's a full view shot of they're posting, enjoy!
